Challenge

As the company continued to grow, it became clear that a new and better collaboration solution was needed. There was too much email ‘noise,’ making it hard for team members to collaborate effectively.

Using solutions from various vendors was complicated, and tracking versions of files distributed as email attachments became problematic. Finding a better way to share files became a priority, along with a better solution to instant messaging and conferencing.

Having physical servers present at the company was also a constraint, requiring constant investment to stay up to date. There was also a risk that a server crash could bring the company to a halt.

Solution

CyberDuo implemented a new collaboration solution based on Microsoft Teams. As a result, Fun Factory enjoys the simplicity of a single-vendor solution, whilst also benefiting from the many advantages of a cloud-based system.

Sharing files is easier than ever, and everyone has access to the latest version. Thanks to integrated tools such as instant messaging and video conferencing, collaboration is much more effective, and the Fun Factory team is able to get more done.

Results

The implementation of the new system has dramatically increased visibility and productivity. As everyone can see all the conversations relating to their projects, transparency has greatly improved, eliminating errors and confusion.

By moving from locally-based servers to a cloud solution, Fun Factory has been liberated from the need to upgrade hardware and software, and now enjoys the redundancy built into cloud solutions.

Overall, the transition to the new system has played a significant role in helping the company leverage leading-edge collaboration tools to stay ahead of the competition.
